Brad M. Hawkins is a Vice President in Bernstein Global Wealth Management’s Washington, DC, office. He advises high-net-worth individuals and institutions regarding investment strategies and, in conjunction with the Wealth Management Group, works closely with clients and their professional advisors on a wide range of investment matters, including tax and estate planning, concentrated stock positions and the sale of a privately held business. Hawkins joined the firm as a Private Client Associate in 2008. Prior to his current role, he was the Manager of the Bernstein Washington, DC office with oversight of all associates and administrative assistants supporting financial advisors and DC office clients.
He began his career as a consultant with ICF International in Fairfax, VA. Hawkins holds a BA in economics and political science, magna cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, member of the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council, Anne Arundel Estate Planning Council and the Rotary Club of Alexandria. He is a also a board member of Reston-based nonprofit Hopecam and the Penn State Alumni Association Metro Washington, DC Chapter as well as a youth mentor with DC-based nonprofit Community Family Life Services.
