Time Station 38: Sullivan, Indiana is for Mackenzie

Len and the crew entered the 8th state of the race, Indiana, home state of Len's alma mater. With each rotation of the wheels, he's getting closer to seeing some familiar faces! As he arrives into Sullivan at TS38, he is getting inspiration from the strength of 18 year-old Mackenzie from Conway, Arkansas. Thank you to her parent Lacausta for sharing her story:

"Mackenzie was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia on June 7, 2016. A few days later we were told she had a Philadelphia Chromosome, which only 1-2% of the people in the United States have. The chromosome has caused her to have to go through some of the hardest chemotherapy, leaving her feeling isolated most of the time. Because of Hopecam she is able to stay in touch with her friends and the outside world. We still have about 2 years of treatment left. It has been extremely hard physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. We're extremely thankful for Hopecam and all that they do for us."
