Brad M. Hawkins is a Financial Advisor in Bernstein’s Washington, DC, office. He provides comprehensive investment and planning services to individuals, families, businesses, endowments, foundations and associations to develop and maintain investment strategies suited to their growth and spending needs, risk tolerance and legacy goals. Brad joined the firm as a senior private client associate in 2008 and was named manager of the Washington, DC, office in 2011 before taking on his current role in 2012.
Prior to Bernstein he was previously an energy analyst with ICF International working with government clients such as the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency. Brad holds a BA in economics and political science, magna cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He’s a member of the Washington, DC Estate Planning Council and Montgomery County Estate Planning Council. Brad is active in the local nonprofit community leading the Bernstein DC office annual Day of Giving event supporting military-related nonprofits, serving on the board of directors of Reston-based nonprofit Hopecam and active involvement with Penn State DC Metro Alumni Chapter mentorship opportunities. Brad and his wife Julie live in Alexandria with their two young children, Wesley and Margot. Julie is also actively involved in the local nonprofit community serving as secretary of the board for Space of Her Own in Alexandria.
