Meet Bryson: A Story of Strength, Hope & Connection
As Len Forkas continues his 183 Miles of Hope journey, he dedicates his second marathon to Bryson, whose strength, determination, and love of sports remind us of the importance of keeping children connected during cancer treatment.
Bryson is an energetic 13-year-old who loves football, basketball, and video games. A basketball fan and player, he got his start with the Millington Trojans Little League and enjoys cheering on his favorite NBA teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors.
While undergoing cancer treatment, Bryson has faced challenges that have kept him away from the classroom and the activities he loves. But his passion for sports, his determination, and his connection to friends and school remain an important part of his life.
Thanks to Hopecam, Bryson received a computer that has helped him keep up with his schoolwork and stay connected during treatment. Having that connection has allowed him to continue learning and feel part of his school community, even when he can't physically be there.
Bryson's story reminds us that every child deserves to feel included, supported, and connected — especially while facing cancer.
