A Celebration of Togetherness

Join us for Hopecam's Annual Fall Dinner, a night to celebrate our mission to keep children with cancer connected to their classrooms and friends. With ABC7 News personality Victoria Sanchez as our Master of Ceremony, we will honor the courage of these kids, share stories of hope and resilience, and raise the funds that allow Hopecam to continue providing tablets, internet, and virtual programs that keep them connected when they need it most.

2024 HOPECAM 5K

Join us for the Annual Hopecam 5K Run/Walk to support kids with cancer. We are offering both an in-person & virtual 5K this year!

When: May 5, 2024, 9:00 am

Where: In-person: 1890 Preston White Dr, Reston, VA.

Virtual: Anywhere, anytime!

On-line registration will close on May 2nd at 8:00 pm

Race Swag/Packet Pick-up: All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative Hopecam race shirt and cool race swag. In-person racers will pick up their swag bags on race day starting at 8:00am near the starting line. 

Shipping is included for those doing the Virtual 5K

Awards: Will be given to the top overall male and female Adult (16 & Over) finishers, the top 3 overall male and female Youth (15 & Under) finishers and then the top male and female finisher in the following age groups: 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.

Teams and Sponsorship: Looking for a team-building opportunity?  Start a team!  We will have competitions with awards for the largest team and the team that raises the most money for Hopecam. About the Race Course: The Hopecam 5K is a USATF certified race-fast and flat for those wanting to set a personal best record. This is also the perfect race for families featuring an easy course for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels.

Registration is $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under

All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative Hopecam race shirt and cool race swag.

Hopecam's mission is to overcome the social isolation experienced by children diagnosed with cancer through the use of tablets, laptops, and internet technologies to connect the child with his or her school, doctors and support system. Every time a child is diagnosed with cancer and isolated from friends, their mental health is at risk. Hopecam can change that trajectory by virtually connecting kids with classmates, at no cost to schools or families. Hopecam helps kids feel more supported and less depressed through the power of connection.

Hopecam’s 5K Run/Walk is going VIRTUAL! Due to the spread of COVID-19 and in order to keep our community and most vulnerable population safe we have decided to make the Hopecam 20th Annual 5K Run/Walk a Virtual Event. Participants will be able to complete their 5K anytime between Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 18, 2020.  If you have registered for the 5K already, your registration will automatically be moved to the virtual event.  If you are unable to participant and would like a refund for your registration, please contact brett@hopecam.org

We invite you to “Give Hope, Get Connected” at Hopecam’s 6th Annual Fall Celebration on October 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm at The Silverline Center in Tysons, Virginia for an evening of food, entertainment, and fundraising.

With your support, the lives of hundreds of children will be transformed. Instead of feeling isolated, they will feel supported and encouraged. One such child is Addy, who is undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While her classmates are beginning third grade, Addy is not; instead, she is in the hospital. By partnering with Hopecam, you can help Addy and other children overcome isolation and live fuller, more enriching lives.
